Connect with Someone
Don’t know where to begin? Connect with a Peer Supporter. Recognizing that someone who has “walked the walk” can often understand an issue better than outside help. Who better than your coworkers that you already know and trust and have easy access to?
The peer support program is made up of more than 60 team members across Police, Fire, and General Employees, trained as confidants for the entire team. Any employee can utilize any peer supporter and know that confidentiality is key.
Peer Supporters can serve you with general support and listening as well as assist you to find the right resources if needed. Only based on your request, a peer supporter can also work with your supervisor to navigate time off for treatment if needed.
